Michael is a nationally recognized Chief Information Officer with a proven track record of leading high-performing technology teams in the healthcare, marketing/advertising, and manufacturing sectors.

Michael received the inaugural 2022 Orbie Tennessee CIO of the Year award. Becker’s Healthcare also named him one of the “Top 102 Health System CIOs to Know”. Michael has been a guest on numerous healthcare and leadership podcasts, and his writings have been featured in several national publications. He has also been a featured speaker and panelist for Becker’s Healthcare, CHIME, and CNBC.

As the healthcare industry continues to face unprecedented challenges, Michael is passionate about leveraging technology solutions to transform care delivery and improve the patient experience. He is also dedicated to building strong leaders and helping others achieve their potential through coaching, mentoring, and writing. 

Michael serves as the CIO for an academic medical center in the Southeast. When not working or writing, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
